Itinerary

Start your adventure in Delhi and set off on a scenic drive to the enchanting city of Dehradun., nestled in the foothills of the Garhwal Himalayas. On arrival, check in to your hotel and take a short rest before stepping out to explore.

Start your sightseeing with Robber’s Cave (Gucchu Pani) a natural cave formation where a river mysteriously disappears underground and reappears a few metres away. The cool stream and the unique setting make it a favourite spot for visitors. Next, head to the Tapkeshwar Temple, a sacred cave temple dedicated to Lord Shiva where water droplets continuously fall on the Shivling, creating a truly spiritual atmosphere.

Later, explore the Mindrolling Monastery, one of the largest Buddhist centres in India, known for its peaceful environment and towering stupa. End your day at the iconic Forest Research Institute (FRI), famous for its grand colonial architecture, lush gardens, and museum showcasing India’s forestry heritage.

Today, set out on an excursion to the peaceful hill station of Dhanaulti, about 24 km from Mussoorie. Away from the hustle and bustle, Dhanaulti is known for its serene beauty, alpine forests, and quiet charm. Visit the Eco Park, developed by the forest department, which is perfect for short nature walks amid deodar and oak trees.

From Dhanaulti, continue to the revered Surkanda Devi Temple, perched at an altitude of 2,757 metres. The temple, dedicated to Goddess Parvati, offers a 360-degree view of the Himalayan peaks and surrounding valleys. The short trek to reach the temple is equally rewarding for nature lovers and spiritual seekers alike.

Return to Mussoorie by evening and spend some relaxed time at your hotel. Overnight stay in Mussoorie.
