You will be picked up from your hotel or airport by the tour representative early in the morning and from here you will be taken to Agra. The journey is not very long and you reach Agra within 3 to 4 hours. The total distance between both the cities is 234 kms. With congenial weather conditions and smooth road traffic you will not at all have a problem.

On reaching Agra you will immediately leave to view Taj Mahal which is a monument of eternal love. It was built by ShahJahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. Hire a Govt approved tour guide who will take you around and tell you all interesting facts about the monument.

Visit Taj Mahal and Agra Fort
Once you are done with viewing Taj Mahal, you must proceed towards Agra Fort. It is a magnificent monument which was constructed in1656 by Mughal King Akbar. This sister monument of Taj, houses a museum containing artifacts of the bygone era.

Now it is time to take a small lunch break. Try finger-licking authentic Mughlai food in any of the well known restaurants of Agra. You will be amazed by the flavors and aroma. Agra is known for "Petha". It is a popular Indian sweet dish recognized for its lovely taste. As you have a full day in Agra you can do little shopping.

Visit Jama Masjid and Shopping Places in Agra
Kinari Bazaar located just behind Jama Masjid is good for shopping. You will get all sorts of things such as jewelry, shoes, clothing,marble inlay work souvenirs etc in Agra. Other key shopping places in Agra are Sadar Bazaar, Subhash Bazar, and Shah Market etc.

Visit Mehtab Bagh and Taj Mahal Sunset Views
Late in the evening you can visit the Mehtab Bagh sunset point. If you are tired you can omit this site. Here you will see the reflection of majestic Taj Mahal over Yamuna river. Overnight stay is in a hotel in Agra.

Visit Fatehpur Sikri (UNESCO World Heritage site)
In the morning you can go again for a morning view of the Taj. Leave Agra and enroute stop at Fatehpur Sikri which was built by Akbar. This red sandstone city is now an UNESCO World Heritage site.
