Naina Devi Temple
This is an important Hindu temple located on the northern shore of Naini Lake. According to Hindu mythology, this is the spot where the eyes (naina) of Goddess Sati fell when Lord Vishnu cut her body into pieces to stop Lord Shiva's cosmic dance of destruction. The temple is small but holds deep spiritual significance. The atmosphere here is calm, and you'll often see devotees offering prayers.

Snow View Point
This is one of the most popular viewpoints in Nainital. To reach Snow View, you take a cable car (ropeway) from the Mallital side of the lake. The ride itself is fun—you go up slowly while enjoying bird's-eye views of the town and lake below.

From the top, on a clear day, you can see snow-covered Himalayan peaks like Nanda Devi, Trisul, and Nanda Kot. There's also a small café, souvenir shops, and telescope services at the viewpoint. It's a great spot for photos and spending quiet time with nature.

Tiffin Top (Dorothy's Seat)
Located about 4 km from Nainital town, Tiffin Top is a beautiful hilltop viewpoint. You can either trek up (takes about 30–40 minutes through forest trails) or hire a horse if you prefer. The trek is easy and enjoyable, especially in pleasant weather.

From the top, you get a 360-degree view of Nainital town, the lake, and the surrounding mountain ranges. It's peaceful, clean, and perfect for photography. There's also a small stone seat at the top dedicated to Dorothy Kellet, an English artist who loved this spot.

Mall Road and Tibetan Market
Mall Road is the heart of Nainital's social life. It's a long street running along the lake, and it's always bustling with tourists, locals, families, and couples. You can walk, window-shop, buy woolen clothes, candles, handicrafts, and local snacks.

Near the Flats area, there's a Tibetan Market where you can find colorful shawls, bags, jewelry, wooden items, and decorative pieces at reasonable prices. Bargaining is common and fun here.

Naini Lake Boating
Boating is probably the most popular activity in Nainital. You can choose from:

Paddle boats (you pedal yourself—good for couples and friends)

Rowboats (manual rowing—romantic and quiet)

Motor boats (faster and easier)

Early morning or late evening is the best time for boating when the water is calm and the surroundings are peaceful. The reflections of hills and buildings in the lake create beautiful photo opportunities.

Bhimtal (22 km from Nainital):
A larger and quieter lake with a small island in the middle. Less crowded than Naini Lake, perfect if you want peaceful surroundings. There's also an aquarium on the island.

Naukuchiatal (26 km):

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and begin the drive to Mussoorie. This is a longer drive compared to Day 1, but the route is scenic and interesting. You'll travel through valley roads, small towns, and different mountain landscapes.

The usual route goes via Haldwani, then towards Dehradun (the capital of Uttarakhand), and finally up the winding mountain roads to Mussoorie. Many travelers like to stop in Dehradun for lunch or a quick break before continuing uphill.

Arriving in Mussoorie
Mussoorie is famously called the "Queen of Hills" and sits at an altitude similar to Nainital (around 2,000 meters). But the vibe is quite different. Mussoorie has wider valley views, a longer and more bustling Mall Road, and a slightly more energetic atmosphere.

After arrival, check in to your hotel. Take some rest after the long drive. In the evening, you can take a short walk on Mall Road to get a feel of the place. Mussoorie's Mall Road is lined with restaurants, bookstores, souvenir shops, and street food vendors. The cool evening breeze and twinkling lights make it very pleasant.

After breakfast, start your full-day exploration of Mussoorie. There's plenty to see, and your driver will help you cover the main attractions comfortably.

Kempty Falls
Located about 15 km from Mussoorie town center, Kempty Falls is one of the most famous waterfalls in Uttarakhand. Water cascades down from a height of about 40 feet into a pool below. The waterfall is especially beautiful during and after the monsoon when water flow is strong.

You can go close to the falls, sit on rocks, and even wade into the shallow pool (if you're comfortable). It's a fun spot, especially for families and kids. There are changing rooms and small shops nearby selling snacks and drinks.

Gun Hill
Gun Hill is the second-highest peak in Mussoorie and offers stunning panoramic views. You can reach the top by taking a cable car (ropeway) from Mall Road. The ride is short but scenic—you go up slowly while enjoying aerial views of the town and valley.

From the top, you can see the Himalayan ranges on one side and the Doon Valley on the other. There are telescopes available for rent if you want to see distant peaks more clearly. You'll also find small shops, photo booths, and food stalls at the top.

Mall Road Walk
Mussoorie's Mall Road is longer and more bustling than Nainital's. It's the main social hub of the town. You'll find:

Bookstores (Mussoorie is known for its old-style bookshops—great for book lovers)
Souvenir shops selling Himalayan handicrafts
Cafés and restaurants serving everything from momos to pasta
Street food vendors selling corn, maggi, sandwiches, and hot chocolate

Walking on Mall Road in the evening is one of the best things to do in Mussoorie. The atmosphere is lively, safe, and full of energy.

Camel's Back Road
This is a 3 km long, vehicle-free road that forms a natural loop. It's called Camel's Back because there's a rock formation that looks like a sitting camel. This road is perfect for a peaceful morning or evening walk. The path is lined with trees, and you can enjoy valley views on one side and forest on the other.

Since no vehicles are allowed, it's very quiet and safe—ideal for families, couples, and anyone who enjoys nature walks.

Lal Tibba (Landour Area)
Located in the Landour area (about 6 km from Mall Road), Lal Tibba is the highest point in Mussoorie. On clear days, you can see distant snow-covered peaks through telescopes. The area is quieter and less crowded than the main town. There are also some nice cafés here where you can sit and enjoy the mountain views.

If you like quiet, offbeat places, Dhanaulti is worth a visit. It's a small hill station surrounded by deodar forests. There are eco-parks (Surkanda Devi Park and Dash Avatar Park) where you can walk through tall trees and enjoy fresh mountain air. Dhanaulti is much quieter than Mussoorie—perfect for a few hours of peace.

Shopping and Cafés
Spend leisurely time on Mall Road. Explore old bookshops (Cambridge Book Depot is famous), buy local handicrafts, Himalayan souvenirs, and enjoy hill station favorites like:

Maggi with mountain views
Hot chocolate and coffee at cafés
Local jams, honey, and pickles

You can also visit the Sister Bazaar area near Picture Palace for local shopping at better prices than Mall Road.

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and start your return journey to Delhi. The drive takes you downhill from Mussoorie to Dehradun first, and then through the plains back to Delhi.

You can stop for lunch on the way—your driver will suggest clean restaurants or dhabas. The journey is comfortable, and you'll have plenty of time to look back at photos and memories from the trip.

You'll reach Delhi by late afternoon or early evening depending on traffic conditions. Your driver will drop you at your home, hotel, or airport/railway station as per your preference.
